Pain

Pain is an indication that something is going wrong, thereby drawing your attention towards taking action. For example, when a nerve is injured or compressed, it sends pain signals to our awareness a means of protection. This can produce a variety of unpleasant sensations. The fact that we can differentiate types of pain is indicative of the intelligence of our body and it’s natural desire to self-correct. Damaged or injured nerves can also produce odd sensitivities to a range of temperatures and, touch.

In fact, just visiting the doctor or hospital often causes a great deal of anxiety and stress.

As per NIMH (NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MENTAL HEALTH), fear is one of the most common mental disorders in the U.S. Nearly 17% of the U.S population have specific phobias, and 8.3% experience social phobias. No matter what type of fear you have, you should always remember that you are not alone, we will always be there for you. However, these are not actual numbers as most of the cases are under-reported in the US. Lack of adequate medical funding or stigma associated with mental illness could be among the attributing factors.
